Tank 300 powertrain choice is now a market-specific decision. Official sources list conventional petrol, full-hybrid and diesel versions in some export markets, while current China material describes newer petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid systems. Buyers should not rank them by headline power alone. Fuel availability, repair capability, software, battery service, emissions documentation, towing approval and intended terrain decide whether a version is practical.

Conventional petrol

HEV and plug-in hybrid

A full hybrid and a plug-in hybrid are different ownership propositions. Diesel

Diesel can suit long-distance and towing use where the official market supports it, but fuel quality, emissions systems and parts availability are decisive. Match the duty cycle

Estimate urban congestion, highway distance, low-speed trail use, towing, temperature and altitude. Record expected annual kilometres, typical trip length, terrain, fuel or charging access, towing need, climate, workshop capability and parts path. Then list the disadvantages the buyer has consciously accepted, such as higher fuel use, battery support limits or diesel after-treatment complexity. Attach the exact VIN and configuration evidence. If the decision cannot be defended without quoting a headline power figure from another market, the research is incomplete. The goal is a supportable vehicle, not the most impressive brochure specification.
